Based on a true story
I just did a mini film with an extraordinary friend for giving me the chance to have this experience, based on anorexia. It's based on my true story which began in highschool about 15 years ago. I would skip meals because I didn't feel safe eating in the cafeteria or going through the lunch line alone. I wouldn't eat at home because I was tired of eating the same thing every night. There are witnesses to that.
I began to hold my appetite as a way to control some of what was happening to me and things I still wouldn't be aware of about 10 years. When I did eat, it wasn't healthy and I didn't retain weight. I was 79 lbs when I found out I was pregnant with my only son. That's medically impossible. He's ten now.
So this film helped me bring my own emotions home through a talent I love and have always been skilled in.
